Of course Miers wasn't given a chance. She was borked by frustrated conservatives who turned into angry rightwingers. Having said that, I think those early 1990`s speeches that Miers gave and that were released on the eve of her withdrawal, signaled some serious inconsistencies in her so-called package of conservative principles.

She's gone. Let it be. Time to move on.
