I didn't see any leading Democratic politic ans painting grand conspiracy theories. What I saw were leading members of the main stream media painting grand conspiracy theories that proved to be untrue. What I saw was reporter after reporter, saying grand jury sources said Rove was going to be indicted for every possible crime. I saw main stream reporters saying sources close to the investigation said Cheney might be indicted.
In 99.0 percent of the stories the sources were always listed as people close to the investigation or those knowledgeable about the grand jury.Sometimes the sources were those who know what is going on in the Grand jury.
There were few if any sources listed as prominent democrats.
It is a standard media technique.
What it should really say !
One in the same.
It's not beyond the pale that Cheney MIGHT be indicted, if the overzealous Fitzgerald can manufacture a way.
Secondly, there were a number of high level Dems, including Schumer, Reid, everybody but Hillary, who publically stated that this "goes to the highest level of the Administration, and proves how corrupt and untrustworthy they are" -- or something along those lines.
Several Dems, although I cant be specific, went so far as to say this proves that we went to war in Iraq on a pack of lies, etc.
Even the mainstream media is getting sick of the repetitive bull coming from the lib weenies.
Did you see Chuck Schumer on O'Reilly on Friday night?
The final question to Schumer was, "Knowing that it was the word of three reporters against the word of Libby, why would he still lie to the investigators and the grand jury?"
Schumer's answer was, "I don't have any facts, this is just speculation, but the only plausible explanation is that there was a meeting with Bush, Rove, Cheney, and Libby, where they said 'Get this guy [Wilson]. Leak that his wife is a CIA agent.' That's the only explanation that makes sense to me."
