It is psychologically addictive.

...may be, to some people, that can be true, but you are sweeping with your usual broad brush. You consistently give no weight to reported experiences of users, unless it seems to confirm your premise. Seems like your mind is closed to the possiblity that you could be wrong. That is typical of a zealot.

You can say the same for my love of red wine. I drink it every day. I have, since a friend, who is a heart surgeon, explained the benefits demonstrated through the lifestyles of the French and Italians. Their diet is notorious for its high caloric, and fat contents. I love the taste, and look forward to it.

I first smoked pot, in San Francisco, 1967, while on a weekend pass from my ship. I was accompanied by two young men, who were midshipmen. We went to see Big Brother, at the Fillmore, and wandered around Haight Street.

One of the young men has become an Admiral. The other commands a cruiser. They are still among my circle of friends. They have smoked since then, I can affirm. I passed the bowl.

I see people who stop by the local Sheetz, every afternoon, and pick up a 12-pack. They pop at least one on the way home, and finish them in time to drop into bed. Then, next morning, they go back to their employment as truck drivers, construction folk, and whatever. Some of them are among my friends, as well.

One of my very close friends smokes pot, almost daily. He is a physician. He puts bones together. He recommends pot, even if the AMA is PC... He says it is better than booze! He would debate your claims, but he's too busy helping people...

"One of my very close friends smokes pot, almost daily. He is a physician."

According to statistics, most people stop smoking dope in their 30's.

If your physician friend is still smoking pot on a daily basis, despite the risks I outlined, then he's addicted.
