However you look at it, it's an oligarchy.

1 President
1 Vice President
9 Supreme Court Justices
100 Senators
435 Congressmen

546 people at the top of 300 million. Sounds like a classic oligarchy to me.

IMO, we must repeal the 17th Amendment and enlarge the House of Representatives dramatically.

Power in the Senate has to be returned to the states and the people are now way to numerous to be represented by 435 people in any effective way.

Ok, but not an oligarchy of democrats.

Republicans make up the majority.

However, there is an endless sea of unelected beauracrats who must be tamed. The 546 elected officials do not control the beauracracy.

I personally believe that until we repeal the 17th Amendment, almost any course of action we as a people do will be ineffective.

Just think how the SCOTUS nominee process would be different if there were no 17th ????

I certainly think we need to enlarge the house by at least 1/3 if not more
