Evelyn's father Andy Christie testified before the grand jury along with his brother, Jeremiah Christie. "They just asked about Casey's drug use and his computer," Jeremiah Christie said.
A different grand jury questioned Jeremiah about Frederiksen's computer last month. That grand jury indicted Frederiksen for possessing more than one thousand child pornography images and movies. Jeremiah says he was asked similar questions about Frederiksen at Thursday's grand jury hearing. "I felt like I was repeating myself a lot I mean they just asked me more about what I knew about computers they told me they're not investigating me and they weren't investigating me- of course I didn't have anything to do with this," Jeremiah Christie said.
Even though the grand jury appears to be targeting Frederiksen, the Christie family says they still stand by him. "We've always been a friend of Casey. We still support him. He hasn't had a trial. He hasn't had a chance to have his lawyers speak for him," Richard Christie, Evelyn's Grandfather, said.
Jeremiah Christie said, "Casey's my friend and I've gone through a lot with Casey. My heart tells me Casey's not involved but then again your heart can always be deceived."
Evelyn's grandmother, Linda Christie says she thinks prosecutors should also press child pornography charges against Noel Miller.
"The one thing that bothers me since they both knew what was on that computer is why is Casey in jail, and Noel is not charged with child pornography also," Linda Christie said.
The Christies say they think about Evelyn every day.
And, they're confident investigators are doing a good job.
"I think within a fairly short amount of time it will come to an end and we'll see someone arrested or indicted, that's what we're looking forward to," Richard Christie said.
Linda Christie said, "She's been gone for four months. This is a hard time for me because it's trick or treat time, and there's going to be one less trick or treater out there. That's hard for me to handle."
The Christies say even though Evelyn is dead, she will always live on in their hearts. Casey Frederiksen's father also testified before the grand jury today.
Remember this grand jury hearing is separate from the murder investigation. Prosecutors have not charged anyone in connection to Evelyn Miller's murder.
Evelyn's mother, Noel, has always said she raised her daughter in a loving, supportive home.

CHARLES CITY Two separate court proceedings took place involving the family of a murdered Floyd girl Thursday.
Evelyn Millers father, Andrew Christie, and uncle Jeremiah Christie testified before a federal grand jury Thursday in Cedar Rapids.
In the afternoon, Noel Miller, Evelyns mother, and Casey Frederiksens relatives met in the Floyd County Courthouse for a dispositional hearing in a child-in-need-of-assistance filing for Evelyn Millers half brothers.
Evelyn Miller, 5, was found dead July 6 after vanishing from her home July 1. Her mother, Noel Miller, reported her missing after working a night shift at a nursing home in Nashua. Noel Millers then live-in boyfriend, Casey Frederiksen, and the couples two sons were sleeping.
Andrew Christie, Evelyns father of Waterloo, and his brother Jeremiah Christie of Windsor Heights arrived at the federal courthouse around 1 p.m. Thursday.
Andrew Christie declined to comment on what questions he was asked. Noel Miller said Thursday that she was also at the grand jury Thursday morning and said she didnt want to talk about it.
Grand juries are secret proceedings. In September, a grand jury chose to indict Frederiksen for possession of child pornography. He remains held in the Linn County Jail on the charges. Conviction would carry a punishment of up to 10 years in prison.
The hearing regarding Millers younger sons was closed to the public at the request of attorneys.
Dedra Schroeder, an attorney representing Noel, and Floyd County Attorney Marilyn Dettmer asked that the judge close the courtroom shortly after the hearing began.
Judge Gerald Magee granted the request and took notice of a prior decision to close the courtroom in the same case, because it was in the best interest of the children. He also reminded people present that he ordered them not to discuss the proceedings.
Millers acquaintance Jasper Clay, Charles City, waited outside the courtroom. He said he was subpoenaed to be at the courthouse at 1 p.m. He was never called into the courtroom. Later Dettmer told him that he was free to leave.
The children were removed from Millers care on July 12. They were found to be children in need of assistance in August.

I don't recall this name in previous articles. So, I'll ask the Charles City people, who is Jasper Clay?
I do not know him personaly but I have seen him in gorcery stores with noel. He is tall and skinny. I wouldn't guess him to be much more than 21 and sorry if this offends anyone but he looks like a "skater punk". We are shirt- tale relation to some of the clays and some are very hardworking sweet people but I dont know where this guy fits in...wish I could tell you more. I think he is Noel's current boyfriend but I am not positive of that.
Jasper Clay is more commonly known as JC Clay. If you look his criminal record up, you'll find he's been charged with pretty much everything in the book--public intox, DUI, assault, interference with official acts, drug possesion, reckless driving, driving without a license, hit and run, stuff like that. Generally he's a public nuisance. He's been in trouble since he was a kid. If I recall, he did some time in one of the state juvenile homes.
He is Noel's current boyfriend, or more accurately, one of the men she's sleeping with right now. They were seen in one of the local banks making out. Classy.
And he's actually 25, but acts like he's 16. He and Noel are a perfect couple.
In a BANK?
What? Is that unacceptable? ;-)
Noel is pretty much the trashiest person I've ever encountered. Nothing she does shocks me anymore.
I was a young woman myself, once ... but a bank seems like an odd venue for affectionate displays.
The Waterloo Courier has a photo album of this case and two photos show the floyd apartment with large purple stains on the wall of the living room, Evey's bedroom and the kitchen cabinents......The captions say that this is a substance that the FBI uses to search for blood..blood that can be found even after you scrub the walls.. Is the substance itself purple or does the blood show up as purple? You can see this at waterloocourier.com just click on photo album under Evey's picture
LEUCOCRYSTAL VIOLET
(LCV) A new positive blood identifier that turns permanent VIOLET when in contact with blood. Leucocrystal violet can be testified to in court as a blood identifier at the scene without further testing to identify the stain as blood.
As I look at the photos, I can't imagine all those violet markings testify to the presense of blood. I suspect the marker looks different (brighter, perhaps?) when blood is detected. The violet areas in those photos just seem too uniformly large and round for all of them to be indicating the actual presense of blood.
Just my opinion, of course.
I hope that the leap I am taking is wrong but....could some of those patterns been cause by attempting to wash away the evidence?
I agree. This statement is from the website posted:
"This solution is an indicator for blood, however, it may react with other substances not specific to blood."
I seriously doubt that investigators would have allowed access to the apartment to either the manager or reporters if Evelyn had been killed there.
Note also that in the first picture, of the wall between Evelyn's bedroom and the bathroom, Noel had a table with a microwave and various other junk on that wall. The area that was tested on that wall would have been covered by appliances.
She dated JC before, when Evey was about 2, he's bad news, nothing but a trouble maker. they do seem to be a good couple. I just don't understand what in the world would make any one want to sleep with her, She's like the most white trash person I have EVER met, just talk to her and you can tell she has the intellegence level of a doormat.
Some men seem to like that.
It seems to me that any "man" who would date Noel now is the type that thrives on negative attention. He would have to be a guy who enjoys whispers and stares. He would have to be unbalanced.
