Maybe he's gonna follow Chuckie's advice from Fox News this morning and move to the center like shumie says Reagan did.

"God Blass the President

Not too many people have said that recently..."

Well, first I wish I had spelled it right.

But it's easy when criticize on immigration or spending or whatever to lose sight of the President's enormous responsibility and his need for our support and when we can;t give our support he should still get our prayers.

On the other hand, I don't think he's gonna pardon him. No more likely to do that than to announce his resignation.

"Clinton was a master at it. He made the public feel sorry for him."

What exactly would Bush have to say for that to happen and to turn the tables on the Dems???

What would he ACTUALLY say?

Umm, could you cut Reagan a little slack, considering he was necessarily preoccupied with defeating communism? You sound like a crackpot, although I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are not.

I predict a brief mention of the indictment, the usual 'innocent until proven guilty,' a brief mention of the recent Iraq vote and a new nominee for SCOTUS.

Howard Dean wing of the Democratic party

How is Dean a "wing" of a party when he is the chairman?

I'm sure the President's patience and forebearance serves him well, but it sure causes a lot of loyal people to take hits.

President Bush should not do anything to put water on the conservative base right now. He needs to carefully rally the troops, not play the diplomat.

I'd be very surprised to see a SCOTUS nomination. It wouldn't be fair to the nominee to lump him or her in with the indictment story. You do that as a separate announcement.
