That is patently a L I E.

Op-ed, Vanity Fair cover and article, countless and endless speeches and tv interviews.

And how about this:

"CNN inadvertently caught a very ironic moment as it covered Joe Wilson's attorney reading a statement from Wilson. In the statement, Wilson made some trite remarks about how he had been punished for speaking truth to power, blah blah blah, but then he said, "I have a request. While I may engage in public discourse, my wife and my family are private people... they do not wish to be under the glare of the cameras."

"The irony? At that very moment, CNN's Situation Room had another screen showing the picture of Wilson and his wife from their "Vanity Fair" photo shoot. Whoops!

"And the guest Wolf Blitzer had on right after the statement was Senate Intelligence Committee member Orrin Hatch, who was able to inform viewers at that key moment that his committee's bipartisan report found that Wilson "did not tell the truth" on a number of matters, such as what he found in Niger and whether his wife recommended him for the trip. Whoops again!

"I'm sure CNN didn't mean to make Wilson look like such a fool, but that was certainly the effect."
