These indictments are nothing more than an attempt to flip Scooter - threaten him with serious jail time unless he gives up higher administration officials. Since Scooter has already lied to a grand jury would he lie again to avoid prison??
IMVHO, there'll be no jail time. Libby will eventually be offered the chance to plead guilty to lesser, reduced charges, pay a fine and have his law license suspended for a year or two. He'll take it and this whole thing will blow over.
I agree with you. I think he's trying to get Libby to say that the VP gave him the name and told him to give it to all the reporters. Pure BS.
First of all he is an attorney... I truly believe he would have said he didn't recall before he would lie, he's not a leaker. He engaged in pillowtalk at the most, Miller knew she didn't have to go to jail... she played him, he signed the non-coercion doc. and she ran right to Fitz to get the investigation narrowed. Why did he approve of that? Since it's been two years and far reaching... and he was willing to throw her in jail for her lack of cooperation?
