My memory sucks. I see lots of other possible defenses to the conflicting testimony (that the reporters are the ones lying being a very credible one).
That's why the big "If" started that sentence.

I was listening to Hannity today, something I don't usually do. He had 3 lawyers on and all 3 thought this indictment was BS. They said that Libbys testimony didn't agree with his notes. They also pointed out that he was concerned with much weightier matters than who first told him about Plame, Cheney or a reporter, so it probably wasn't a clear memory. The attorneys take on having read the indictment was that this was a case of a faulty memory and not purposeful mileading.
