Only level it does not makes sense at is it is Abbas's guys getting waxed.

Yes but that assumes that Abbas is in control of the Fatah party and the Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades. It appears to me that he is in charge of Jack and Shi* and Jack left town.

It would not be the first time that an Arab politician used someone else to eliminate his rivals or people who will not plan ball. He could be consolidating power and Israel doesn’t mind accommodating him.

I know, probably just wishful thinking on my part hence the tinfoil hat.

Abbas would never ask the Israelis to help him eliminate his rivals. That would be "humiliating" and it would also make him a "collaborator."

Abbas is worse than Arafat, he openly advocates making terror groups part of his government, has clearly stated multiple times his refusal to disarm terrorists, and is milking Bush for more money than Arafat.

But Hamas and Al Queda are now making clear plays for taking over the Arabs, so Syria and I suspect Russia are the new kids on the block. It may be in Israel's interest to help balance the forces in the Arab occupied territorys. Abbas is bad, but Syria and Al Queda are far worse.

There is clear indication that Iran has a dog in this latest flare up as Iran effectivly announced this bombing a few hours before it happened. It seems the Arab League is loosing its mask of solidarity now that a plum is on the table for the plucking, each of the proxy army leaders are begining to vie for power over the others.

Make no mistake, the Palestinian Authority is Jordans play. So now we have Syria, Iran, Jordan and I suspect Russia all tipping their hands. Once the cards are on the table, Israel should flat take it to them in their home front. Years of acts of war and war crimes have not gone away, they are sitting in neat little cans on the shelf looking for a home.

For instance, last time Russia got a bit too pushy Israel in no uncertain terms told russia that they can be reached from Israel as well as Israel from Russia.

Russia backed down, One thing about nukes, they destroy cities as well from a tiny country or America. And Israel has the gonads and the ability to deliver on their promises.
