So he's resigned right? Well, if it turns out he did this stuff, I say good riddance. - welcome aboard, IF pigs fly, stay indoors.

What we can conclude from this is that no one criminally leaked Plame's name. I'd say it's a Blue Fitzmas for the dems.

What a load of crap!! I hope Libby takes Fitzgerald down with this. A manufactured crime.
Here's what Fitzy should have done:
1. Determine whether there was a crime committed. To do so he needed to find out whether Plame was an undercover agent in the prior 5 years.
2. Upon determining that she was not, close the investigation.
Here is what he did instead:
1. Haul everyone under the sun into the GJ and ask them how they learned about Plame and who they told.
2. 2 years later, start investigating whether Plame was undercover by asking her neighbors. 3. Find one person with one discrepancy on a fact that was irrelevant because it pertained to something that was not a crime, and charge him with 5 federal felonies.
It's a Martha Stewart case again, but on a far more abusive set of facts. Martha could easily have been charged with insider trading, and lied about what she did. The only reason there wasn't an insider trading charge was that the proof wasn't there. Here, no one could ever have been charged with a crime, and Fitzgerald manufactured one instead of shutting down the investigation.

Thanks, I would prefer to stick with Cheney unless Bush can come up with a good, solid, conservative, pro-life candidate for the presidency.
Otherwise, better to let the political process run its course.
He certainly can't give the job to his brother Jeb. Only Kennedys are allowed to do that.

This is a garbage indictment, based on faulty recollections.
Fitzgerald is blowing his career on this, in my opinion.

So if Libby was dating Miller, why isn't she indicted too? Because she isn't a republican.

McCarthy didn't conduct political persecutions, that's a left-wing myth. Read Treason for the full story on McCarthy.

Re: Obstruction
I read somewhere that some of Libby's notes recovered by Fitz were on a hard drive that Libby thought he had wiped clean. That would be enough for an obstruction indictment. I doubt it comes from his letter to Miller.
