I think there's another side to this issue, though - abuse of prosecutorial discretion.

Miller was given the chance to correct her testimony after being prompted by Fitzgerald's revealing evidence of a meeting she forgot. Why wasn't Libby given the same opportunity and/or latitude?

If one side gets a pass, both need to. In theory, neither should be given that much latitude.

I am reading the indictment and it seems to me that there timeline alludes to the fact it was the CIA leaking to the media, I wonder if there is some hidden indictments of spooks?

I think Plame is (was) a double agent, and that's why she fled to France. Notice, she wasn't in the U.S. to testify. She's still there. Maybe this will get her to come home.

Libby was just lying because politicians routinely lie. Its an old Washington sport. The prosecutor and all the politicians in the Capitol should be behind bars too. Libby got caught because his lie was a clumsy one.

This is really why they went after him:

Libby is quiet force who helped shape Iraq policy

http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/10/28/libby.profile.reut/index.html

Lewis Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney's top aide, has been a quiet yet powerful force in shaping the Bush administration's policies and helped build the case for the Iraq invasion.

Remember - the key word is "INDICTED".

He's still innocent until the Democrats can form enough evidence to make him be found guilty.

The implication of the charges seem to be that if there wasn't an investigation there wouldn't have been any crime at all.

Bingo! We have a winner!

The point is, a high-profile prosecutor spent 24 months discovering that Libby couldn't get his stories straight about a non-crime.

That's it in a nutshell. All these *%#@ talking heads don't want to admit that this is what it boils down to. To them - it's all "bad news" for the WH

Today is a very bad for liberals and their media, make no doubt about it.

I agree. 22+ months, all for a not-terribly-good case against a guy named "Scooter". You know, if the President can follow today up by quickly nominating Janice Rogers Brown to SCOTUS, I think Chris Matthews head will explode. It's been sort of pulsing and bulging all morning.
