It's Clement! No it's Brown!! You're both wrong, it's Owen!!! Can anyone here tell me of anyone who accurately predicted either of the other two picks? No, in fact, the during the first pick, we heard one name all day long and it turned out to be wrong. There is no reason to either push for or predict a candidate.

Quite a few people got the Roberts pick right.

The Harriet Miers rumor was out there but I don't know of anyone who said she'd be the pick and stuck with that opinion. Most people, if they took the rumor seriously at all, decided there were clearly many superior choices and the Miers downsides would make such a nomination very unlikely.
