Like this person has the best interests of the president, or the country at heart..
I still say senator Clinton, and Senator Schumer are living proof that NY'rs are not as smart as they pretend to be.

Here is what Bush should do. Invite Shoooomah, Biden, Layheee, and Feinstein to the White House. Consult with them, take their suggestions. Get some photos taken. Hell, even consult with some more dems. Then go straight out and nominate someone they will hate, but who is imminently confirmable.
It would be hillarious to see them howl about not being consulted, because they were. Instead, they will be howling about not getting to make the pick themselves, which will not sit well with the public.

Consensus among conservatives, maybe. Miers proved that Bush nominees can't get confirmed without conservative support.

Screw her! Don't suppose anyone has the nerve though.

More properly, he can cause the institutionalization of LIBERALISM AND SOCIALISM in America, **OR** he can save our Constitution, our system of laws, and our federal republic....that is the importance here.

Someone ought to remind Hillary that she and the Dems could not get the "consensus" candidate, Harriet Miers, confirmed.

Will the fat lady still be singing the same song if(God forbid) she ever gets elected CinC? I think not.
To: LurkedLongEnough
Is she out of her friggin' mind? No president has EVER had to get a consensus when naming a Supreme Court nominee. Of course, there has never been a president so hated by the left as President Bush is. W needs to tell her, and the rest of the dimoCRACKS to sit down and STFU! This is his job and duty and his alone. Ole Crusty must be practicing for the day she's behind the desk in the Oval Office. That day can NEVER be permitted to happen.

The conservatives are the only ones left standing; the "New Tone" has failed, consensus has failed and Bush's only reward for being nonpartisan has been falling approval numbers.
He now has nothing to loose and everything to gain by becoming a true Conservative. As Rush said - start making bold policy decisions and watch the libs start freaking out...
