I don't know the answer to your question gooleyman. Perhaps, if Jim has time, he can address it. I merely copy the info from our illustrious leader Billie for the opening to the thread. In fact I think the numbers are off also. Several hundred thousand...although maybe many have been "tossed" this year for unsportmanship behavior??? Maybe it is time we modified our opening a wee bit.

Hey Dolly,
I got my nickname around halloween time back at about the time I ran across FR (circa 1996.) One of my co-workers at time gave me that nickname adapted from my real last name. He still calls me that today whenever I run into him. Once I decided to register on FR, there was no doubt as to what my screen name would be.

I wish I had known what FR would become back then. I would have saved more articles and kept better notes so I wouldn't have to rely on my woefully inadequate memory. That's why you read things in what I said like "seems to me" or "as I recall." JimRob certainly can clear it all up. I'm not trying to cause a scene or anything. Just wanted to clear my own memory up.
