Don't disagree.....but IR technology has been making exponential strides - it is likely that this will have minimal impact on the survivability of the B2 over what it would have been without this info being passed on.

Technological advantages have increasingly short half lives.......regardless, hang 'em high would be my verdict.

Agreed. If he left Northrop in 1986 he probably worked on the B-2A Block 10. All the B-2s have been rebuilt to Block 30 configuration, with major improvements to all low-observable capabilities.
