many others who have sought to explain and support the school system’s actions, have consistently provided matter-of-fact and respectful letters.

Respectful??? Like the following excerpts??

======================================

Letter: Homophobic agenda needs to be handled Thursday, May 26, 2005
I relate this incident because I believe it shows clearly that Parker and his gang, far from being a few aggrieved parents, actually have a specific agenda for disrupting the resolve of the town to welcome diversity. When these people get worked up about Lexington schools' "homosexual agenda" they need to be confronted with their own homophobic agenda.
Soheil Zendeh

Letter: Sad to see town as a national target Thursday, May 26, 2005
Mr. Parker's staged arrest and ongoing media campaign of misinformation has put Lexington on the national map and made our town the target of outside hate groups.
I feel sad and outraged that one man's deliberate actions to hijack our public schools has made all of us the target of a national campaign of bigotry and hatred.
Pam Hoffman

Letter: Arrest was planned attack, not good dad Thursday, June 2, 2005
Parker's selfish act to promote his far right social agenda has now made Lexington the flashpoint of the culture war. An extreme right-wing fringe group is on its way to Lexington to stage their hateful protests. Do you really think this is the action of a Dad protecting his kid?
Don't let the action of a few extremists burn the fabric of our community. Don't let this fringe movement take hold in Lexington. Blame what is happening not on the town, but on the individuals who brought this to the town, David Parker and his outside supporters. Expel this "culture of intolerance," for what will follow from the anti-gay premise of today is an anti-women's rights, anti-ethnic, anti-science, anti-pluralist agenda.
Craig Cyr

Letter: Why should kids hide who their family is? Thursday, June 2, 2005
I am a lesbian parent of two elementary school children, and I have been going through a plethora of emotions due to groups trying to restrict my children from being able to talk about their family.
I am also concerned about the hatred and bigotry that has been brought into our community from David Parker and hate groups from across the country such as White Revolution and Fred Phelps. These displays of hatred will affect all our children.
Bonnie Brodner

Letter: Actions have hurt community Thursday, August 4, 2005

I support Mr. Parker's right to his beliefs, but do not agree with either the premise or the structure of his proposal. His "premise" would result in the school having to marginalize the existence of some families. In its structure, his request is impractical.
His wish to disrupt school activities, based on spontaneous discussions wherever his child is present with a resulting parent notification and the removal of his child from a school activity, is unworkable no matter what the subject matter.
Craig Cyr

Letter: Opinions are OK, but requests are absurd Thursday, August 11, 2005
I support Mr. Parker's right to have and voice his opinions, even if they are abhorrent to others. However, I do not understand Mr. Parker's surprise at the reaction he has received. By published accounts, Mr. Parker chose to be arrested and to spend the night in jail.

Letter: Is it really about 'parental rights?' Thursday, September 22, 2005
How would the Article 8 Alliance or other Parker fans react if I were to hold a school hostage unless the authorities promised to allow me to opt my child out whenever Christian families were discussed, because I didn't want my children to be taught that Christianity is normal? What would they call me? A staunch defender of parental rights?

What I like most about this wacko letter writer is the "why doesn't he just run for office and change the system from the inside" logic - when in fact it is the law that they must notify parents when introducing the homo agenda in the school system. Thus it already HAS been worked through legal channels. It is the school that claims that the law applies only to sex education.

Leftists are seriously wacko.

I guess the people of Lexington get what they deserve. Unfortunately, the children don't deserve this. The parents should keep in mind Jesus' saying regarding millstones.

Were her children conceived miraculously?

"An extreme right-wing fringe group is on its way to Lexington to stage their hateful protests. "

Hateful protests=Ex Gays promoting the truth, that homosexuals are not born, they are indoctrinated, desensitized, and lured into it. And promoting even more important truth, their is help in leaving the sin, through Jesus Christ. This, at a church! Is, by them, called a hate group.
