He is becoming a bit tiresome.

Danforth, a Missouri Republican and an Episcopal priest, commented after meeting with students at the Bill Clinton School of Public Service,
Any true Republican or believing Christian should not speak at the Bill Clinton School of Public Service ... unless speaking through a bullhorn and giving orders to the demolition crew.

What is a Christian moderate?
Why, that would be someone like John Kerry or The Clintons who carry a Bible and go into Church only on camera and think abortion is the Godly thing to do.

I thought it was the neocons (i.e. the Jews) that were running the Republican party. I get so confused as to what type of bigotry I'm supposed to believe.

"Former Sen. John Danforth said Wednesday that the political influence of evangelical Christians is hurting the Republican Party and dividing the country."
He prefers the days when the Party played the second string "Steppin Fetchit" role it had to the Democrats before Ronald Reagan.
He may get his wish.

Senator RINO Danforth whitewashed the Clinton-Reno-Gore massacre at Waco. George HW Bush's kind of Republican, that a-hole Danforth. Speaking at the Bill Clinton School of Pubic Servants, bashing Conservatives.
What a wiper you are Danforth, you shart.

Unfortunately, there are many, many more "Republicans" just exactly like the Rev. Danforth. My stomach does funny things every time I see or hear the cockroach.
To: mlc9852
Danforth is using conservative Christians as a scapegoat,
hoping that the controversey diverts attention away from economic issues involving global corporatism.

Influence of Christians (meaning born again)- be afraid be very afraid.
Are they upset because Christians are tired of doing all the work and not seeing the fruits of their labor?
Are they upset that Christians have principles?
What is their deal on their view of Christians? Isn't Danforth an ordained (liberal) minister?

Rev. Danforth should worry less about people who have a real relationship with God, regardless of worship style, and worry more about the people who don't.

I think that the Republican Party fairly recently has been taken over by the Christian conservatives...
Through my special Beltway Discomspintransbobulator - I have the interpretation: Silly Christians, just vote Republican, don't expect a say in anything. The democrats tell this to African-American voters every election cycle.
