The bus incident was not staged. What was staged was Rosa Parks' refusal to appear for her disorderly conduct summons after the incident.
The only way for Parks to have staged the bus incident would have been to have deliberately sat in the first row. But in the row she actually sat in she had no idea whether she would be asked to move or not.

Tell that to PBS cause that's were I got my information.
You are misinformed.
This PBS program had many people within the area NAACP state that they waited until they could get the prefect opportunity to challenge the Jim Crow laws.
And as said before, they wanted a squeaky clean, SYMPATHIC, person to represent their cause.
And yes, they knew that white bus drivers regularly pushed black riders out of their seats in favor of white ones.
That's why the bus boycotts were so successful. Too many anger bus riders who shared the same degradation.
Maybe "setup" is too strong but she wasn't just your average housewife without strongly held political views.
