Bush can challenge the Gang of 14 power - which he should with a turly conservative nominee in the mold of Scalia or Thomas.
If Bush (and conservatives) win, it will effectively be the castration of the Gang of 14.
I sincerely hope Bush challenges the gang of 14 and gets Brown or another strong conservative confirmed. It would be the best that could happen.
