Oh happy day...
Now he has to appoint a true conservative. He saw how pissed off his base was with this one. Five+ years of standing behind this guy, electing him twice to the White House, and this is the lady with which he repays our loyalty? This lady is his conservative legacy to the Supreme Court and the one to shape judicial discourse for decades to come? I don't think so.
That being said, I do kind of feel sorry for Harriet. She got absolutely skewered. Some of the things being said about her (especially that she was not that bright) had to be hurtful. But she did the right thing and she did it quickly. I thank her for that.

If Bush thinks she would be a good judge, he can still nominate her to a district or circuit court. Not likely, though.
