Now that Dr. Miers has withdrawn her nomination, I guess commentary is in order. I was very disappointed at how some on the right conducted themselves in regards to the nomination. Ann Coulter made some comments that were clearly over the top concerning not only Miers by President Bush. The same could be said for comments heard on the radio by Laura Ingraham.
We can either act like Libs or we can act like ladies and gentleman. That does not mean we roll over when the going gets tough - it does mean we don't act rudely and impugn the character not only of Harriet Miers but also of President Bush.

Speaking of Coulter, here's a little something to bookmark:
**Responding to Lauer's observation about W's myriad problems and sagging polls, Ann observed: "he's made one mistake - Harriet Miers. He just has to eliminate that mistake and everything will be fine." ***

Let's see how long it takes her to put the lie to that.
