I think Bush should nominate Janice R. Brown. Most of the 7 RINOs are on record saying that they would not allow a filibuster on the three nominees that were part of the "compromise" (read sellout) deal.
Further, just as ACTS 2:38 said, Bush needs a unified party more than anything else right now. Bush needs to "dance with the person who brought him" and stick to his base.
Not only is it the right thing to do, but it is good political strategy. The conservative "base" is much larger than the liberal "base". Liberals have to hide from their liberal lable and PRETEND to pander to the middle. Conservatives dont have to pander to the middle, because their are enough of us to affect the outcome of elections as November 2004 proved.
Nothing would improve the President's fortunes better than overriding the liberals in Congress through a knock em down drag em out fight. If there is anything that can fight the "lame duck" lable the MSM has tagged on him, it is a victory that demonstates which party really does hold the reigns of power in Washington.
Bush needs to "dance with the person who brought him" and stick to his base.
