No, you are wrong...from what I read "MOST" who opposed Miers opposed her because she was unqualified and a poor choice. I fully support the president and many things he does, and I did not "hate" Miers. I'm glad she did the right thing.
So stop banging your little spoon on your highchair and lets see if the president will nominate a qualified conservative for this extremely important position.

So stop banging your little spoon on your highchairThat's rich. Miers withdrew because of all the spoon banging on highchairs. It wasn't acceptable to allow the confirmation process run its course.

I do not hate Miers. I just felt this woman was thrust into the spotlight to take on a job she wasn't ready for. And she simply didn't have the experience to be an Associate Justice. It was nothing personal in my disagreement with this nomination but a lot to do with her lack of qualifications and my belief that we don't to hide our beliefs. Conservatism doesn't mean we have to act like we're ashamed of who we are. Let's hope the President and his staff really listen to the base now. With any luck, we'll get an excellent candidature with the stature and experience to serve on our nation's highest court.
