'A court in the French territory heard this week that after arriving at Noumea's Tontouta airport, Connel threw his passport at the head of an immigration officer and yelled insults such as "F... you, Froggies!".'
He's from Brisbane. He knocked back a few on the trip over. A Queenslander, this guy would be mellow when he got off the aircraft, what I want to hear is why he threw his passport.
Did the immigration officer call him p*ss-pot?
Even Brisbanites have their threshhold. I were one not long ago, but Bundy Rum was my choice. As for the French, I could think of better insults than froggie. Sober.
GO John Connel, GO!
Bundaberg is quality stuff. I have the same impression of Queenslanders. I'm pretty sure he was provoked, too.
I bet one of the customs guys rubbed an underarm on his luggage and he thought the stench would never come out.
