Release of Cisneros Report Ordered

A federal appeals court ordered the release of a final report yesterday in a decade-long investigation of former Housing and Urban Development secretary Henry G. Cisneros.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit said in an order that the time has come for independent counsel David M. Barrett to end the inquiry, which has cost more than $21 million, government records show.

The probe continued as Barrett sought to determine whether anyone in the Clinton administration obstructed his investigation of Cisneros. No further charges were brought.

"The substantive duties of the independent counsel are complete," Judge David B. Sentelle said in the order. "The court orders that the independent counsel, with all deliberate speed, prepare . . . and release the now pending final report."

The appeals court stayed its order for 10 days to allow any party to seek a stay from the Supreme Court.

Nothing to see here. Just Clinton getting away with it again. Move along.

Disagree that there's "Nothing to See". There were a LOT of Democrats trying VERY hard to stop this report from seeing the light of day - to the point of filing 200 motions in court to delay it; Durbin, Kerry & Reid in the Senate trying to bury it forever.

That's awfully funny behavior in my book.

What you say is true, but the part of the report that the Dummies want sealed is still sealed. Out only hope is the legislation that Grassley has in a pending budget resolution.

That must be because Republicans have a culture of corruption.

Why didn't the Travis County DA (ronnie earle) look into this??? It only took him three years and eight Grand Juries to FINALLY find Tom DeLay "maybe" guilty of something. Cisneros ALSO lives in Texas.

Oh wait. Cisneros is a dumbocRAT. Nothing to see here. Time to move along to another subject.

A game of political chicken right now between this and whatever happens with this Plame mountain/molehill. Add able danger and we are in full thermonuclear war

My predictions about the Able Danger investigation (which I feel will happen) is that the left will accuse the WH of trying to undo the "legacy" of the Impeached #42 bastard.

Sorry. I was speaking for the media and forgot the sarcasm tag. The way I see it, everything about the Clinton crime family is worth investigating and I want to see them both sharing the same cell for the rest of their unnatural lives. They've earned it! Will we finally get some measure of satisfaction and justice? Let's just say I'm hopeful, but not holding my breath any more.

Then so far, the rats are successful at hiding their skid marked panties.
