At this point the White Sox can walk the first three hitters of each inning and still have no fear that the Astros will score. If the Sox weren't so lucky on their hitting the story would be different.
Like that grand slam.

Mr. Lamb can flat-out hit (at least against RHP).
To: Leapfrog
Someone on that team has to come up with a clutch hit at some point.

"I wanted a Sox - Cardinal Series."
I think a number of people would have liked that after seeing this series so far.
I personally want to see a Yankee/Cards series ( even though there have been a number of them in the past, I have never seen one ).
One game away in 96 , and in 04. 1996 the Cards let me down, in 2004 the Yanks let me down.

Lucky???..Are you implying there is no skill there?

The 1996 Cardinals had that pennant all but wrapped up. Then the Braves woke up.

Our "buddy" Colin McEnroe made an appalling comment on the air today about Astros pitcher Ray Oswalt. As usual, Colin was trying to be "tongue-in-cheek" funny, but he basically said "Ray Oswalt looks like some guy you'd see in an Amber Alert... a sexual predator". Geesh... what a jerk. Over the top, to say the least! >:-(
I can post a more detailed explanation of this here if you think I should...

Why do I get the feeling we're about to hear Buck say "The Astros waste the lead off double and we're headed to the third still scoreless."

It hit the edge of the grass and tuck a left turn. Godd call by the ump.

My husband would agree with you...he wants the baseball season to extend as long as possible...but he is like that with all sports..he loves extra innings in any baseball game, he loves tie games in both football and basketball, and he just loves overtime...
But his main reason for wanting the Astros to win a few games, is that this allows the game to go back to Chicago, and then the White Sox could win with the home team crowd present...
Me, I say, lets have the White Sox win it now and take no chances...

Remember, I live in an NL Central city--St. Louis, which has seen the 'Stros more than any other team over the last two years.Unfortunately, our Cards saw them four times too many this October.
