I would rather have an incompetent on the SC and appear united behind a Republican administration than throw him to the wolves and give the house to the Dems which is what this thoughtless rhetoric is accomplishing. Does anyone really see Roe v Wade ever being overturned? It will NEVER happen, so conservatives need to let go of the lightning rod, which incidentally has been designed and kept burning for division. Let women decide what they want to do with "their own bodies," especially the part where they burn in hell for murder.

Wow! Someone who gets it.

In other words, the convervatives are forming a circle and shooting. Brilliant. And I hope the anti-Miers and anti-Bush posters truly get what they deserve.

I agree. No matter what the Supreme Court decides with Roe v Wade, abortion in this country won't stop until peoples hearts change. With the morally bankrupt country in which we live now days, that might be quite a long time.

I can name countless Libertarian minded gun owners who simply voted (in large part) for Bush TWICE, due to the then upcoming Supreme Court vacancies.

A lot of the dissatisfaction has nothing to do with Roe vs, Wade. Gun owners come in all stripes, and many just don't care about the abortion issue. At least it is not the driving force guiding them to the polls.

Roberts and Miers may be okay when it comes to the 2nd Amendment, but after being Soutered in the past, they are not about to be happy about pigs in a poke. We have worked too hard and too long to simply TRUST that a pick will gun owner friendly.

The Circuit Courts are split. The Circus Court in California says the 2nd is a collective right, while the New Orleans based court has come down on the individual right side of the argument. Eventually, the Supreme Court will have to take a stand.

Many gun owners are one issue voters, just like many pro-lifers, and feel like they may have been sold out. Granted, with the exception of Bush saying he was for the renewal of the AWB, he has been a friend of gun owners.

It will never happen as long as we have treasonous vermin in our party working against us and taking our hard work, monetary support and battling in the trenches for granted.

Mark this my friend, The Northeastern establishmentarian Liberal Country Club set in the Republican Party are going to learn a costly lesson if they don't pull their heads out and dance with the broad that brought them to the ball.

We proved it in 1996 when Boob Dole spent the entire campaign trashing us and calling us all the vile crap that Clinton had cooked up for six years prior to that.

Bush almost found it out because we didn't turn out in 2000.

He had a smashing victory in 2004 because we did turn out even though the Dumbycrats met every get out the vote target that they set. They turned out more voters than any candidate in history in 2004. The main difference is...We turned out more because we thought Bush was one of us.

Now we see the emperor has no clothes, and I submit to you that it was the Miers nomination that woke us out of our stupor and made us realized that we've been in bed with a wolf in sheep's clothing.

If you want to be petty and continue to insult us...go ahead. Bush & company will pay the price in 14 months!
