Unbelievable comment from Ted Kennedy regarding 2000th soldier death - "On this auspicious day..."
Tony Snow & mensnewsdaily.com | 10-26-05 | Doug from Upland

Posted on 10/26/2005 9:08:13 AM PDT by doug from upland

In case you missed it, I hope you are going to be as angry as I am. As the DemocRATS are celebrating the 2000th death of an American hero in the war, they can barely contain themselves. But Senator Edward "Ted" Kennedy has gone way over what anyone would consider decent behavior.

On Tuesday, on the floor of the Senate, when discussing the 2000th death of a hero, he actually used the following words:

"On this auspicious day . . ."

I read it at mensnewsdaily.com

Don’t think their[sp they're] celebrating? I give you Senator Edward (the Killer) Kennedy. He described Tuesday’s news of the 2000th death as an “auspicious day.” I guess anyone who can leave a young woman to die of drowning could call the death of 2000 American soldiers “auspicious.”
-end excerpt-

This morning, I the disgusting clip was heard on the Tony Snow show. Just incredible.

A phone call was made to Lifeguard's office to demand an apology: 202.224.4543; Then, a call was made to Sen. George Allen's office: 202.224.4024. The staffer was unaware of the Kennedy comment. It was suggested to him that Sen. Allen could really endear himself to conservatives and patriotic Americans around the country if he challenged Kennedy and demanded that he apologize for the remark.

Make the phone calls if you are so inclined. Military groups should be demanding an apology.

They're still doing the TIME WARP AGAIN.

And while they clearly managed the "jump to the left", they never got to that "step to the right".

Kennedy is an elitist priviledged person who best represents why this country was founded. To get away from royal asses like him. He will rot in hell with buds like Saddam.

And, if a Walmart employee (or anyone else for that matter)asks what you are doing, you can always say that you're making a political statement.

Come to think of it, there are a whole lot of different aisles to put that book....the mind boggles!

"auspicious?"

Freedom of speech makes it easier to spot the idiots!

Semper Fi,
Kelly

May the 2000 plus who have paid the ultimate price for freedom rest in peace.
And may God be with them and their families.

THE REAL STORY

In Memory Of The Thousands Of American Victims of Islamic and Arab TerroristsThese pages are dedicated to the thousands of Americans who have lost their lives either directly or indirectly to Islamic and Arab Terrorists over the past 30+ years. They do not include those who were "merely" wounded in bombings, shootings, stabbings, stonings, torturings, maimings, kidnappings and hijackings.
We will not forget.

Time for a moment of prayer for our soldiers as the MSM supports the terroists by echoing time to get out of IRAQ.

auspicious \aw-SPISH-uhs\, adjective:
1. Giving promise of success, prosperity, or happiness; predicting good; as, "an auspicious beginning."
2. Prosperous; fortunate; as, "auspicious years."

I think this says it all.

Sterno-soaked Marxists -- especially those elected to the U.S. Senate -- should hire someone to check their words before they speak.

Ted Kennedy has certainly been in a "time warp" since 1969, and he is definitely a Horror Show.

demand that Kennedy apologize for the remark

The hell with the remark .... I want him to apologize for being an embarrassing, alcohol saturated glob of blubber whose visibility and nonsensical gas-bagging is making people in the Mideast wonder if democracy is such a good idea after all.

An exec from the VFW just returned my call. He is going to ask the senator to "clarify" his remark.

I Googled Ted Kennedy and auspicious. I think that is his favorite word. Seems like every time he opens his mouth, something or the other is "auspicious".

Pretty soon, they're going to break out the bellbottoms and fat ties and suede suits again, and march on the Mall.

It's very hard to take aging hippies with grey ponytails in the back and hair gone on top seriesly.

Absolutely: 60 year-old hippies are not to be taken "series"-ly. Although some of them have gotten "hugh" bellies. ;-)
