Pa is strictly a "party machine" state.
The dems and repubs are identical on this note.
If you are not a party "player" and have not "payed your dues", (like Scranton has), you get Nadda.
"Lynn Who? Who's his municipal leader? Who's his area leader? Was he on the committee? Oh, ... I see... well, independents are are just nice, but we have a campaign to run here...."
