This is an excerpt from CBS News from a December 31, 2002 online article. I have read about this numerous times but I am too tired to search for it. I am aware that CBS is a mouthpiece for the left, but it is a point from which to work. We did sell Iraq weapons, but also the chemicals and biological agents that could be easily converted to military use.

Anyhow, our govt. sold Iraq the items mentioned below and it became evident that the same agents sold to them were used by Saddam in warfare, leading to the conclusion that they were stockpiling them because no evidence was presented that their own systematic procedure for their destruction was followed. (Clearly I'm simplifying, but I must get some sleep.)

"The newspaper says a review of a large tranche of government documents reveals that the administrations of President Reagan and the first President Bush both authorized providing Iraq with intelligence and logistical support, and okayed the sale of dual use items — those with military and civilian applications — that included chemicals and germs, even anthrax and bubonic plague.....

"Congressional investigations after the Gulf War revealed that the Commerce Department had licensed sales of biological agents, including anthrax, and insecticides, which could be used in chemical weapons, to Iraq."

Frankly..to the Scarlets..I don't give a dammn! The enemy of our enemy is our friend until it is time to take them out. Sounds like good foreign policy to me. Hell, it won the whole COLD WAR and defeated COMMUNIST EXPANSION!!
If u want to second guess this country's every move and wring your hands at every defining moment that has defeated our enemies..go ahead. I will go down saying SEMPER FI..KICK ASS!!
