Scott told Wal-Mart directors and executives in a speech Monday that he believes "it is time for Congress to take a look at the minimum wage and other legislation that can help working families."

Lee, I have an idea that doesn't require an act of Congress: go ahead and raise your wages right now. Unless the point of your grandstanding is to push for regulations that will harm your competitors more than you, but that certainly isn't the case, is it?

I hate it when businesses call for laws to even out the grief like this and I sure didn't expect something like this out of Wal Mart! Procter and Gamble did it for a local "gay rights" law, rather than just making their in house policy what they wanted it to be.

Walmart did give us a wage increase this year and gives us a .40 or .55 cent pay increase at eval every year. Do I think it is enough...of course not. But I know that if we make too much prices will go up. And then no one will win. Get your facts straight before you spout off.
