TEMPLE TERRACE - A veteran Temple Terrace police officer charged last month with soliciting a lingerie modeling shop employee for sex has resigned, just before the release of an internal affairs investigation that uncovered further misconduct.

City officials announced John Gillespie's resignation Monday.

Today they will release the internal affairs report, which reveals that Gillespie downloaded six images of adult pornography and visited seven pornographic Web sites from his work computer, said Temple Terrace spokeswoman Paula MacDonald.

So, he's an idiot. And apparently he should be prosecuted for soliciting. But they are making a big deal about him looking at 6 adult pictures... that's not criminal - that's an office policy violation.

Other than doing it when he was supposed to be working 6 images can almost be downloaded by accident.He visited 7 adult websites. How many did he enter?

Now going to a Lingerie shop and propositioning a model is a different story. He was entrapped of course, but he asked for that. How does he qualify for a pension after 14 years? Thats the big story.
