Speaking of pecan pie, made me feel a bit melancholy again today.
Pecan pie was my Dad's favorite pie and peach upsidedown cake his favorite cake - each smothered with whipping cream.
Today would have been Dad's 98th birthday. :)
Have never had peach upsidedown cake - pineapple upsidedown cake, but not peach. Sounds good though - I am crazy about fresh peach cobbler, fresh peach ice cream, fresh peaches......
Gosh! I'm hungry!
Your dad is probably enjoying some of both right now.
