And it's a meaningless leak. It matters not one whit whether Libby's source was Cheney or a reporter, if Fitzgerald cannot prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Libby (or Cheney or Rove) actually knew that Plame was a covert agent or reasonably believed that she was, at the time of the communications.

Libby and Cheney were both entitled to see classified information. The question is whether Libby conveyed this to others--and he didn't. And whether Libby lied about it. Since he turned over those notes, that would be a difficult charge to sustain.
