Dick Cheney is the sitting Vice President of the United States. No Prosecutor, Federal or otherwise, can indict him for ANY crime while he remains the Vice President, period. Read your Constitution, folks. Now Fitzegald can refer the matter to the House to begin impeachment proceedings. Cheney would have to have Articles of Impeachment draw up against him by the House, and then Senate would have to conduct an Impeachment trial. 2/3 vote is required for the Vice President to be removed from office. At which point Fitzgerald could then begin legal proceedings against him. Anyone honestly think an Impeachment of the Vice President is going to happen over this Plame affair. Please!
Early on, he and Bush both gave long interviews to Fitzgerald as part of the investigation.
It's possible that someone has testified that Cheney told Libby et al to use the classified information to get Wilson and his wife. I hope Fitzgerald doesnt indict anyone but I wouldnt be surprised if he did. Cheney involvement is what I have feared since Fitzgerald went before Judge with evidence to get Miller thrown in jail and since Cheney has all but disappeared from the radar screen lately.
