There would be no conservative movement in America today without the hard work of folks like Weyrich and Schlafly. That movement reached ascendancy because of people like Limbaugh. I guess the pro-Miers crowd wants to jettison these "dinosaurs" in order to get a cipher on the court, simply because she was nominated by W. And they accuse us of being elitists.

Rush has really toned down his criticism the last couple of weeks. Have you noticed? And have you read what his brother is saying?

I have no problem with anyone being opposed to Miers as long as they don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Three pundits in particular annoy the hell out of me: George Will, David Frum, and Bill Kristol.
