You assume it wasn't a muslim girl who got raped? I heard it was an asian girl so so much for assumptions.

Since the response was for a mosque to be attacked, I decided it was most likely that the initial incident was a Muslim attacking a Black girl

And from this other thread, it looks like my assumption was correct:

It began as a whisper, an inflammatory rumour that gained horror and currency each time it was told. It was said that after being caught shoplifting, a girl of 13 or 14 had pleaded for leniency, but had been raped by between three and 25 Pakistani men in a suburban beauty store. When the attack was supposed to have happened was never clear. And the police, it was said, were never called because the girl was a Jamaican who feared that she would be deported.
BTW this has nothing to do with islam. It's asian gangs vs black gangs.

It has EVERYTHING to do with Islam and Islamic culture. From numerous articles over the years, rape-as-punishment seems an integral part of Muslim culture.

On FR we've seen lots of articles covering Muslim girls in Muslim countries being ordered to be raped by tribal councils, as punishment for something the girl or some other member of her family did to someone of higher status

This time, the Muslims raped somebody whose people are not going to be "politically correct" in their response

These reports of shooting and shots being fired cannot be true. The UK has banned guns.

Instead of islam you could have blamed rap music.

Since they attacked a mosque, am I to assume that they were playing rap music?

The NRA told me that handguns and semi auto long guns were banned a few years ago. Is this not true?

Racial violence keeps Birmingham alert

Nabanita Sircar

London, October 24, 2005

The fear of violent confrontation between Afro-Caribbean youth and Pakistani and Bangladeshi youths in Birmingham has escalated, despite the deployment of over 200 police officers in affected areas. Isolated incidents continued. Two men were arrested after an 18-year-old man was shot dead in the Newtown area of Birmingham during a "serious incident" on Sunday night, West Midlands Police said.

The previous evening on Saturday, there was racial violence in the Lozells area of city, which had for long been tense because of rivalry between African-Caribbean and Asian gangs. It had left at least one man dead and about 35 people injured, including a police officer.

A police spokeswoman said it was "too early to tell" whether the incident on Sunday was directly connected to this weekend's disturbances in the Lozells area of the city. She said the incident had been voluntarily referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission after firearms officers were called to the area. She admitted there had been "sporadic incidents" of disorder throughout the Sunday night, involving small groups of youths in the Lozells area, but these were of a "considerably lower scale" than Saturday night's clashes.

The latest shooting was about a mile from the Lozells area. "It is too early to say whether this incident is directly connected to the bigger picture. Given its proximity to the other events, we cannot rule it out."

Firearms officers were called to Melbourne Avenue in Newtown at about 12.40am on Monday in connection with sightings of a firearm. The spokeswoman said: "It would appear that at some point while police were searching the area, an 18-year-old suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to hospital where he died." Two men were arrested in connection with this. West Midlands Police have voluntarily referred the matter to the Independent Police Complaints Commission as a matter of course."

The violence on Saturday had broken out over allegations of a rape attack on a 16-year-old Jamaican girl allegedly by 19 Asian businessmen, although until Sunday morning no report had been filed. It was rumoured that she was an illegal immigrant. But later police assured that no action would be taken against her until the completion of the inquiry into rape allegations.

Allegedly a gang of Black youths ran through the streets on Saturday attacking Asians and whites. Shops were hit and cars set on fire during the clash, and hundreds of police in riot gear were attacked with bricks and bottles. Four people were stabbed during the violence, including a man in his 20s, who was taken to City Hospital but died from his injuries. Police learnt that one of their own officers had been shot in the thigh by a ball bearing gun.

Police and community leaders have been appealing for peace after a meeting at the headquarters of the city council, which was attended by 80 leaders from all communities.

But, fear of more violence has persisted. One of them Anthony Gordon said the multi-ethnic Birmingham neighbourhood was " on the cusp of something that nobody wants to happen". He said nobody should fan flames further. But hope of such restraint is rather low. The tension between Blacks and Pakistanis remains explosive.

One Abdul Hussain was quoted in the Times who spat on the road before saying " in low, menacing tones about riot on Saturday" that it was prompted by a false allegation of rape that gave the "kalas (derogatory term for Blacks)" an excuse to loot " Pakistani and Bangladeshi-owned shops". He alleged the riot was about them (Blacks) getting hold of what " we sell in our shops".

Hussain holds that " someone invented the story about a young girl raped by a Pakistani to justify a smash-and-grab raid". He questioned if the rape victim existed at all. But 80 yards away, Maxwell, 19, told the paper the rape definitely happened and " the riots showed that the Afro-Caribbean community is ready to fight back against predatory Pakistani men".

In the U.K. "Asians" are always South Asians such as Pakistanis, Indians, Bangladeshis, etc. The word encompasses both Hindus and Muslims.

The Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese, etc., are referred to as "Oriental".

I'm not sure where the Thais and Cambodians and Malays fall. I think they are "Asian" as well.

they are too PC to specify race in any of the incidents.

If the TV in England catches any criminal suspects doing the "Perp Walk" in handcuffs, you can tell the race of the perpetrator as follows:

Face shown on TV: White.

Face not shown, wearing a colorful jogging suit: Black

Face not shown, wearing a robe or shalwar khameez: Asian Muslim

" This time, the Muslims raped somebody whose people are not going to be "politically correct" in their response"

As the article you quoted shows, there isn't any actual evidence that there ever was a rape.
