Thank you for the link...we need to bump this up to give this family the financial support they deserve.

I live in Massachusetts, and this man and his family are being demonized in this state as homosexual-hating bigots.

I think he has valid concerns about who should be making choices in the education of his children, about what is considered morally acceptable. He is all for tolerance, but he does not agree that alternative lifestyles should be taught to childen of that age without the express consent of the parents.

When he tried to make the point that the Lexington schools were violating the "Opt-out" legislation that is in place, they said it did not apply in this case and refused to discuss the point.

I told my kids to not fill in the survey or only answer one or two questions and say that they did fill it out; that was as much as they were answering. I can't believe that the people giving out these questionaires really expect honest answers just because the kids are told it's confidential. I wouldn't believe that it was confidential, myself. Kids aren't that stupid. I need to discuss this one with them again. When are these questionaires due to come out again?

When I first logged in, there was an ad for a poll on sames-sex marriage, with a line saying, "Weigh in on gay rights and homophobia." Now it says "Should gay marriage be legal? Weigh in on this important issue." Just an interesting tidbit.
