Putin meets with daughter, grandson of Civil War general Denikin

Moscow, October 6, Interfax - President Vladimir Putin met with the daughter and grandson of Russian General Anton Denikin, Marina and Mikhail, who are visiting Moscow, on Wednesday at the Novo-Ogarevo residence, presidential press service secretary told Interfax.

On Monday the remains of General Anton Denikin and philosopher Ivan Ilyin and their wives were buried at the Donskoy Monastery.

The day before yesterday when their remains were brought to Moscow, Marina Denikina said to journalists: "The last words General Denikin said dying at an American hospital were: 'Now I will never see the saved Russia'. That is why my son, my granddaughters and I are so grateful to you, the Russian people and the Russian Government, for having the remains of a great Russian patriot brought back to his homeland".
