I wonder what they're talking about here. You can carry devices to detect radiation, you can minimize your exposure to it by time, distance, and shielding, but you can't really "combat" radiation. Once again the MSM is clueless.

Limiting exposure time by rotating crews, and using radiation specific decontamination procedures.

There were two pharmaceuticals approved last fall that treat radiation sickness and one of them is also approved for pediatrics. Maybe he is talking about these to be used along with lead lined gear.
