85% OF CHILD PREDATORS CAPTURED ARE CRIMINAL IMMIGRANTS (Surprise, Surprise!)
Sierra Times ^ | 10/22/2005 | Jim Kouri, CPP

Top officials at the Department of Homeland Security recently revealed that arrests for child sex crimes during the first two years of Operation Predator have exceeded 6,000 and 85 percent of them are criminal immigrants.

Operation Predator is Immigration and Customs Enforcement's comprehensive initiative to safeguard children from foreign national pedophiles, international sex tourists, Internet child pornographers and human traffickers. Operation Predator evolved out of ICE’s mission to find and deport illegal aliens, particularly those with criminal records. The majority of the arrests under Operation Predator - roughly 85% - have involved foreign nationals in this country whose child sex crimes make them removable from the United States. By matching immigration databases with state Megan’s law directories, ICE agents have arrested more than 1,800 registered sex offenders.

Since Operation Predator began on July 9, 2003, the initiative has resulted in 6,085 child predator arrests throughout the country - an average of roughly 250 arrests per month and eight arrests per day. While arrests have been made in every state, the most have occurred in these states: Arizona (207), California (1,578), Florida (255), Illinois (282), Michigan (153), Minnesota (190), New Jersey (423), New York (367), Oregon (148) and Texas (545).

Operation Predator also has an important international component, as leads developed by domestic ICE offices are shared with ICE Attaché offices overseas and foreign law enforcement for action. To date, leads shared by ICE with foreign authorities have resulted in the arrest of roughly 1,000 individuals overseas.

With an average of nearly 250 child sex predator arrests per month, ICE's Operation Predator has emerged as one of most successful efforts ever launched to protect America's children. In enforcing the nation's immigration laws, ICE is systematically targeting those who pose the greatest threats, including criminal aliens who prey on our children.

Some recent ICE arrests involving criminal aliens who committed child sex crimes include Julio Cesar Rabago-Magana, a Mexican man who raped a four-year-old child in the basement of Mercado Central in Minneapolis, Minn. Rabago-Magana pleaded guilty Oct. 23, 2002 to first-degree criminal sexual conduct. After serving his criminal sentence, he was arrested by ICE agents at his St. Paul home on March 3, 2005, and deported six days later.

To date, more than 2,100 of these foreign-born predators have been removed from the United States to their home nations. As part of this process, ICE advises the host nation governments about the criminal histories of each sex predator it is deporting to their nations. ICE also issues Green Notices through Interpol in appropriate cases. The Green Notice provides information on career criminals who have committed, or are likely to commit, offenses in several countries.

Are you assuming that the illegal immigrants who are guilty of child sex crimes must be from Mexico?

I wonder how long it takes them to sneak back across the border ?

The age of consent in Mexico is 12 years old. Think this might have something to do with these statistics?

Yes, but getting past the girl's Petrona can be a big obstacle to child abuse there.

Just swallow the "Kool-Aid" and be a nice little BuSheep...they know so much better than us

He got "his" from me anyway: I voted for the guy twice.

But on the Homeland Security part of this, does Bush realize that according to his own doctrine, We should be sending troops into NYC and South Dakota? WE are harboring terrorists. All for the cheap lettuce and leafblowing.

Yeah but if reported accurately it wouldn't sound as if illegals were responsible for 85% of all child molest cases.

What percentage should we accept? You name it. 30%, 40%? If it’s more than zero, it’s too many. We are sacrificing the lives of OUR children for your political correctness. Way too much “politicking” and not nearly enough governing going on in this country.

How about forgetting about framing illegal immigration in a sexual predator context? Illegals amount for less than 1% of the total US problem. Going after illegals may make some feel good but nine times out of ten it is a friend or family member.

I would prefer to hang them, or use Ol' Sparky

Yeah, me too. But castrate them with a sledgehammer, "sans" anesthesia first :^)

I just thought Miller's NAMBLA line was pretty good. The rest of the show was good too, although sometimes hard to keep up with. Needed to google a few things to get the punch lines.

Besides the 60's "feel good", ME movement I think another significant event was when the American Psychiatric Association (APA) took homosexuality off the mental disorder list in '73. They used to be listed right up there with child molesters.

I guess since it's been 30 years since the homo agenda broke through the last taboo, rapists, child molesters (and all manner of other sexual freaks) are OK now.

Homo agenda propaganda and infiltration is as serious a threat to our society as the commies were in the cold war.

We need an anti-homo-agenda leader equivalent to Ronald Regan destroying the commies.

For example, conservatives lost the game when they let the environmentalist wackos rename swamps "wetlands" and jungles "rain forests."

In WV, I dug a hole in the ground (2 acre pond), and placed the dirt beside it (berm), on the side of a mountain (1085 FtASL). It was adjacent to a seasonal stream (down which flows water after hard rains, and continues until the ground gives it up.).

I was fined $5000 (unappealable) for not getting a "Wetlands" Permit, from the Corps of Engineers.

I'm all for stamping out kiddie porn but...is this really the reason we created the Department of Homeland Security? Is this the best use they can figure out for their resources?

Deportation to Mexico means he has likely already scampered back over the boarder to the US. Mexico does not want him either; they probably dropped him off at a safe crossing area with instructions on how to cross.

BINGO! Our border is a revolving door for Mexico. Our government "leaders" are telling us that it's OUR problem, not THEIRS. We obviously need NEW LEADERS who actually want to protect America, not allow it to be invaded.

Tis a slow motion Mariel boat lift that has been going on for decades with the approval of our government.

Deporting criminals is cost effective.

BTTT

California taxpayers would heave a sigh of relief if illegal alien criminals and their offspring would be deported. We're supporting several million illegal alien criminals and "other entrants" now, and our state is going broke.

The benefits are one of the main reasons they stay here. Usually the men work, have babies with their wives or girlfriends, and those babies are immediately placed on welfare paid for by us. Our hospitals are closing under the strain. We just can't afford it anymore.

Los Angeles is a "sanctuary city", and the illegals know it, so they flock here and reap the benefits provided to them by our idiot politicians, who by the way, are satisfied that their jobs are safe because conservative voters are outnumbered.

You miss the point. It is Mexico doing the deportation of criminals to the US. Most of them live better in our jails than they would in Mexico anyhow.

>> We just can't afford it anymore.

You will pay until you get away, that is the only option left to the taxpayer.

You're right, yet those options are getting slimmer as the days pass, because I haven't heard of a state yet with the possible exception of Alaska that isn't being invaded by Mexico. Of course the border states are getting the brunt of it.

The illegals probably do live better in jail here than they do in Mexico. They usually have relatively short sentences unless the crime is serious, and then they're released into our population again, and the story continues...

I don't think we have any hope of change from the present administration. Bush has had five years to make a change, and he's only made it worse. The puppetmasters (whomever they are) are doing their job well.

Actually this is a surprise. Why would immigrants be more likely to molest children than non-immigrants? Does the rest of the world have a much bigger problem with child molesters than the USA?

Fortunately for other nations they don't share a boarder with Mexico.
