Dude ! wake up !, I'm surrendering nothing. These people are comming and have been comming for the last 200 years !. They need to be registered. We need a better way of knowing exactly who these people are. The current border patrol is living proof that the way we are doing business down there isn't working. Why keep kicking a dead horse ? If Bush was as preoccupied with preserving our sovereignty as he is with appeasing Vincente Fox, then we wouldn't even be discussing this problem.
The PAN should forget about nominating Santiago Creel and just nominate Bush in his stead; he's done more for Mexico than any Fox crony ever has.
Heck, he might even have a better shot at defeating Manuel Lopez Obrador if he's willing to grow a mustache.
Immigration enforcement did indeed work between 1924 and 1965, it allowed America to catch her breath so to speak to assimilate a large number of immigrant groups.
Also, the way to stop this ILLEGAL invasion is to arrest, fine, seize assets of those who do hire illegals. But hey, I guess you cant get in the way of making money. Anyways, your "logic" would be the same "logic" used to defend drug dealers, "selling drugs the drug makers dont want to sell" because they make money.
That's why we have immigration laws, so that we can register foreigners who want to come to the United States, and by registering them, we know exactly who these foreigners are. The problem is that millions of foreigners are not abiding by our country's immigration laws and are instead entering into and/or living in the United States illegally.
