To: Skooz

I lived in Louisiana at that time. If David Duke did not have the stigma of the KKK & the Nazi thing - many of FR would have voted for him. If I remember right - his strongest campaign point was against big government. If that's all you knew about him - you would have said 'yeah-that's the man'. He all but destroyed the fledgling GOP that had made progress in this democrat state. Louisiana really had such a lousy choice that year for people like myself - a former KKK'r versus (as someone else said) the most corrupt politician in the universe and proud of it. One of only two times in my life that I did not vote. It was disgusting.

I literally held my nose and voted for Edwards that year.

It was nauseating.
