Almost a sell-out...it was a gas....the people in front of us turned their caps around...they always seemed to be standing or moving just enough so we couldn't see anything on the field.

The guys behind us always seemed to have one "xtra" beer after a beer run, that just seemed to get partially spilled on me. and they seemed to go on a lot of beer runs.

Popcorn just happend to get thown in the air about every other batter.
and they were absolutely merciless re: Brock-Broglio.

Great Rivalry.

Never saw a game in Busch, and regret not having done so.

Cubs/Cards is a great rivalry. Best two games I ever saw; June 23 & 24 1994. June 23; "The Sandberg Game" where he hit the two homers off Bruce Sutter in the 9th & 10th. Everyone forgets the next day. The Cubs' staff was completely used up in the Saturday game. We sat in the centerfield bleachers looking over Rick Sutcliffe's shoulder as he mowed down 15 Cards in a complete game 5-0 win.

Went to that series with 7 college buddies. It was evenly split 4-4 Cub/Card fans.

By the way, after having several beers during the Saturday game, and a few extra at the Cubbie Bear afterwards, I went back to my friend's apartment off Lakeshore to discover my mint 1972 Mustang Mach I was GONE!!!! I had to make a car theft report to Chicago PD; they were somewhat skeptical ("You sure you parked your car here? All these streets look the same....")
