Let's hope it stays the worst. With all the resources available to the Oval Office, it's disconcerting that the vetting was so poorly done.
I sincerely hope that the message "the President knows Harriett Miers, so there's no need to completely vet her" was not conveyed. Somehow, I think it was.
What vetting? She's Dubya's personal buddy. Vetting concluded, time to get on with the nomination.
I doubt this will stand. Especially now that some of the "dirt" is being exposed.
If she was a long time judge with a sterling reputation as a staunch conservative, she might survive. But with her actual creds, I doubt it.
