If you could, a prayer may be very comforting right now. I don't know if you've been following this, but my heart has just about ripped in two again. Thanks in advance.

I second that (you are so precious, Pegita!). I will go to sleep tonight joining my prayers with others especially for the family's comfort, wisdom, and help. I cannot imagine the depth of pain they are feeling. May God bring us all comfort and His peace.

I want to thank you and everyone else for all your prayers and support. Let me just add one more thing, this is far from over, through all the emotions we are a family of fighters and just like Dad we can be kicked down but we won't stay down. Eventually we will get someone to answer the questions we have and take responsibility for what has happened, we might get kicked down, but we will get up and keep on traveling down what looks to be a bumpy road. To Jim, you can be very proud of your children for standing up for what they believe in even though it meant dividing a family.

Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that every tear that dries upon the face becomes another precious drop that is stored in Heaven until its final outpouring. Gather these many tears that have been shed by the Chambers family, and those who have loved this gallant warrior, that they might be mixed with Your love and compassion. Thank You that at the appointed time You will send them forth, as rivers of refreshment flowing over those who have grieved, turning their mourning into joy. And as some will be refreshed, there are others who will be swept away in the rushing tide of Your wrath, for their works have been evil. Thank You that the Spirit of God will rightly divine the intent of the heart and that none can hide from the judgments to come. Blessed be the Name of the Lord God, now and forevermore.

Visit this family in the midst of their grief, O God, and shepherd them through the days ahead ... help us to be a measure of comfort. And even as our hearts are broken, we are mystified at the callousness shown by those who seek death for others, yet may it be, Merciful Father, that those callous hearts will be broken by the Love of God. Only You, O Lord, can appropriate unto Yourself the authority of Your Word, for "in your hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind." Job 12:10. We stand in awe at the simplicity of these words ... we bow in submission to Your authority ... we cry out in prayer that Your words will fall upon the people ... lead us, Merciful Father, that we might fashion a culture of life, else we will all die.

Hear our prayer, O Lord ... hear our prayer, O Lord ... incline thine ear to us, and grant us thy peace. Amen ...
