Is everything 'racially motivated' to these spoiled children?
I think it is about time that Professional Sports gets serious about their image problem and require their very public 'employees' to be a positive role model instead of the poster child for immature excess.

there is nothing wrong with asking professional atheletes, in ANY sport, to appear as anything other than professional when representing their team in public.

"The NBA is young black males.'' The NBA players are young black males but the NBA paying audience is white. Money talks.
To: WmCraven_Wk
Boston Celtics star Paul Pierce agreed that the new rule targeted young, black players.
Well, couldn't that be said of any NBA rule?

Some of them have the right attitude about it:
"Everybody has their own style and you've got a corporation that's asking you to present yourself in a certain way," center Alonzo Mourning said. "You've got to abide by it." "They pay us a lot of money to do it, so it's a no-brainer go out and buy a suit," Mourning said. "You don't need but one suit. Go out, buy one and put it on."

Remember the scene in
The Rookie where he gets to Arlington and call's his wife to tell her to send him his sports jacket: "Who knew they had a dress code in the Majors?" (or something to that effect).
I never followed tennis but there are times I miss Arthur Ashe.

These spoiled and pampered freaks of nature have never held real jobs and have never had to be responsible for anything. Imagine a punk making over $7 milllion a year saying that if the NBA wants a dress code they should buy his clothes!

Indiana guard Stephen Jackson believes the NBA's new ban on bling-bling is racially motivated, but says he will abide by the rules. That wasn't you who went into the stands in Detroit to beat up some white people?
I feel like if they want us to dress a certain way, they should pay for our clothes
Technically moron, they are paying for your clothes.

Of course they didn't read the part that said "while representing the team or league business". They are after all employees of the team. And they are a representation of your business and how you conduct yourself.
They are so quick to make everything racially motivated. Between the politically correct crowd and the racist groups who anyone stays in business is beyond me.

My corporation and client is biased against my culture. They don't let me wear flannel shirts, blue jeans and Red Wing boots to work. The small matter that I represent both my corporation and my client to the buying public should be of no concern in my mind.
I am still arguing that I did nothing wrong when I pointed to a young lady's derriere and said, "Nice pooper there, honey!" This was normal and accepted behavior in the backwoods 'hood' where I was raised.
