I don't speak for anybody but myself. But I am extremly offended by those who try to make the argument, as PEG does, and as I've seen you do, that the "base" is divided. That's just my abuse of terms. Sorry about that. The base is solid. It's the kook fringer unappeasables, who are of no value to the party (in fact, they HURT the party) who are being unreasonable.

I don't understand it either. I have gone from being a Rednecked Squarehead, to being a Conservative Intellectual, and an Elitist Snob, by thinking GW could do better than Harriet Miers. At least I have now been labeled that several times.
