er, they cut ballistic vests out with cheap, disposable sissors in the factories. Knife blades go right through them, as do sewing needles.

you can cut ONE layer with scissors, now try cutting through the full vest with them... one layer does not a bullet proof vest make. and as for stitching them... the needles pass through where a knife can't cut it's way through. now an Ice-Pick is another matter. i've NEVER heard of anybody getting knifed through a bullet proof vest.
